In India cricket is considered as a religion. Irrespective of all the cast&creed cricket stands as one of the most important topics. Cricket in India is controlled & managed by BCCI (Board of Control For Cricket In India). Its headquarters are located at Churchgate, Mumbai, Maharashtra . which is also known as Wankhede stadium among the fans. The BCCI was founded in the year 1928. It got its affiliation under ICC on 31st May 1926. Moving further it got its affiliation under the Asian cricket council on 19 September 1983. The acting president of BCCI is Mr.SOURAV GANGULY whereas the secretary is Mr.JAY SAHA. The reason why BCCI is so powerful today is because of the administration of Mr.JAGMOHAN DALMIA who gave his life in the making of Indian cricket

Currently, BCCI has some great sponsors who have been in collaboration with BCCI from a particular time period. The companies are BYJUS, NIKE, PAYTM, DREAM 11, STAR SPORTS, HYUNDAI, AMBUJA CEMENT. These help in getting money through sponsorships. Apart from BCCI has it’s the only destination for annual practice and national camps are NATIONAL CRICKET ACADEMY (NCA) which is located in M.chinaswamy stadium in Bangalore. Which provides the best facilities of training net session, gym, indoors as well as residents

Apart from the National side, BCCI is possessive enough towards its domestic cricket. In India domestic cricket has some stages. The highest and the most prestigious Domestic tournament played in India is RANJI TROPHY. It is red-ball cricket played around the nation among the different states. The one day format of respected Ranji trophy is known as VIJAY HAZARE TROPHY it is limited over one-day tournament played around the nation. There is a total of 38 teams who compete for the respective tournaments. The selection of the national team is done according to the performance of the Ranji trophy. The t-20 format of the Ranji trophy is SYED MUSHTAQ ALI TROPHY which was introduced during the season of 2008-9

Under-23 Level

Before List A cricket there is the U-23 level of cricket where cricketers who are under the age of 23 can participate. The selection is made by state associations so that they can come up with the best team to represent the state team.  There are 2 formats played in the game. COL C.K NAIDU TROPHY is The red ball cricket or Test matches and MENS U-23 ONE DAY TROPHY. Both the tournament is played with 38 teams respectively, It is important to perform in this tournament because. The  performance of u-23 tournament are considered for Ranji trophy selection

Under-19 Level

For playing in U-23 level players need to perform in u-19 tournament’s it is more important for. This age group because the selection of INDIA U-19 is done on the basis of the performance in under-19 inter-state matches. COOCH BEHAR TROPHY is played as multi-day or test match whereas VINOO MANKAD TROPHY is  played as one-day tournament both the tournaments are important for the selection procedure

It is the grass-root level for small budding cricketers. It is important for cricketers who have their age below 16, their performance decides further selection for a u-19 group of cricket. VIJAY MERCHANT TROPHY is the only tournament played by this age group. It is a test cricket format that played with a red ball.
